MSEI Services: Business Support

Business Support will offer a large range of professional advice to help your social enterprise develop into a viable business concern. We will be working together with BLGM, drawing on their extensive and wide ranging experience of developing businesses to reach their potential. After extensive consultation with those running social enterprises the programmes will be delivered in as flexible and suitable a manner as possible so that:

• Convenient times and locations including evening and weekend delivery will be available
• The presentation of training will be made accessible to those who are just setting out into the world of social enterprise. You certainly won't need to know lots of commercial jargon to understand and apply the training.

All sound like a bit too much "enterprise" and not enough "social"?

Don't worry! The programmes are specifically designed to include bespoke (or specially designed) content which takes into account the specific aims and context of social enterprises. It is the aim of these programmes to encourage business development within the clear social aims of your organisation.

All of this will be run in conjunction with our team of Enablers, who will not only provide you with access to the programme most suited to you, but will be available at every stage to help you understand and apply the training you have received to your specific context.

Business Support offers specific programmes for businesses in a Start Up and established situations. 

For Start Up, you will be offered an initial meeting, six weeks' business training, and the possibility of a start up grant.

For Established Businesses, Best Practice Frameworks will offer a flexibly delivered diagnostic and specially designed support from approved suppliers.

This support comes with various rates of subsidy, depending on what stage your business is at.
